Day 14

Hello everyone!  Here are some pictures of our kiddos in action today.  They have been doing a terrific job of learning to take turns, using school devices and materials appropriately.  I look forward to seeing your children everyday!  I am already seeing growth and I am so proud of everyone.

Day 12

Hello Everyone!

I am having such a good time getting to know all of your children!  We had two birthday's in September. Both chose to create a birthday poster to teach their classmates about themselves.  This was a great opportunity for students to experience sharing something meaningful with the whole group.  Our audience members also asked questions and made comments.  The poster sharing was wrapped up with a round of Happy Birthday for each birthday boy!  (I have to work on my photography skills....sorry about that!)

Also this morning, I taught the students how to "turn and talk" to their neighbor.  During "share" time at morning meeting the students took a few minutes to have one on one conversations.  The guiding question was "What is your favorite meal that you eat outside of school?"

Drawing Pad Artwork

I asked students to explore the drawing pad app by creating a fall picture.  Some students embraced the suggestion more than others!  That's fine because the main idea of this was to experience using this tool so that later in the year we can comfortably participate in a more complex project.
